12.5" F4.7 Newtonian for Gary in Hinckley, OH.:

This telescope includes an Antares 2-speed 2" crayford focuser with 1.25" adapter, a Destiny curved vane spider and secondary. The mirror is a Hubble Optics 12.5" F4.7 with a strehl of .9987 and sits on a custom build 6-point all aluminum mirror cell optimized with Plop. I've installed the encoder installation kit and encoders for Gary as well as a DSC stalk for a digital setting circle.

The telescope was completed in June 2009.

This picture of the moon was taken with the 12.5" telescope. I used a TeleVue 12mm Nagler and a simple point 'n shoot Nikon digital camera. More photos here.

The 12.5" completely assembled and ready to use.

This profile shows the encoders installed. The altitude encoder is placed on the side away from the observer.
The rear of the 12.5" telescope. The all aluminum 6-point flotation mirror cell is clearly visible. There is a threaded 5/16" hole in the center of the in case a counterweight is needed.
The top ring with the  Antares 2--speed 2" crayford focuser.
The telescope assembles and disassembles without the need for tools. The mirror has a center "donut" for easy collimation. The removable dew shield is in place.
