DobSTUFF - Ultra Lite Astronomical Telescopes

12" kit delivered to Pete in Mt. Shasta California, January 2011:

This telescope includes an Antares 2-speed 2" crayford focuser with 1.25" adapter, a Destiny curved vane spider and secondary. The mirror is a Destiny full-thickness 1/10th wave Destiny optic. Most interesting is that Pete's father-in-law is noted physicist Dr. Freeman Dyson. On a recent trip to his son-in-law's home in Mt. Shasta California, Dr. Dyson assisted Pete and Pete's children assemble the 12" kit.

The telescope was completed in January 2011.

Dr. Freeman Dyson is famous for his work in quantum field theory, solid state physics, astronomy and nuclear engineering.
